Posted Sunday, February 19 2012 at 00:00-I want to say the Story, ‘600 Ugandan girls victims of human trafficking in Malasia’, in the
Daily Monitor of Thursday is a true story. I have a Kenyan friend who recently told me about a Ugandan woman who mailed to him via Facebook, asking him to help her get an air ticket back to Uganda.
The woman allegedly gave him the names of her parents and her home address in Uganda. She also allegedly talked about her friends, whom she claimed had been killed. The woman allegedly said Ugandan women were being forced into becoming sex slaves.
Unfortunately, when I asked my friend to send me both the woman’s Ugandan and online contacts, he said he could not find them because he had deleted her Facebook message in the hope that she would text him again, but she did not.
